Our Membership
Caregivers Nova Scotia's membership is over 6500-strong and growing. Eighty percent of our members are family and friend caregivers, but we also have community partners and supporters from a variety of backgrounds. Our membership reflects the fact that the need for caregiver support and the importance of caregiving to society cuts across multiple sectors.
How do I join? The easiest way to join is to sign up for our newsletter. This way, you will automatically be entered into our confidential membership database. Otherwise you can contact our office and we will add you to our list and send you a newsletter via Canada Post twice a year.
Is there a cost? No. Membership is free and open to all residents of Nova Scotia who believe in the goals and objectives of Caregivers Nova Scotia.
What does my membership include? Thirty days after signing up members have the right to vote at all Caregivers Nova Scotia member meetings such as the Annual General Meeting or an Extraordinary General Meeting. Members are also eligible to join the Board of Directors.
For more information about what it means to be a member, please see our By-Laws.
