Our Community

We’re proud to have a growing community of over 6,500 people! Most of our members are family and friend caregivers, but we also have community partners and supporters across different sectors. Caregiving touches every part of society, and our community reflects that — it's diverse, dedicated and united by a shared purpose.

How do I join? It’s easy — just fill out our caregiver reference form or sign up for our newsletter. That way, you'll be added to our confidential database automatically. If you prefer a printed version of our newsletter, contact our office, and we’ll add you to our mailing list and send you our newsletter by mail twice a year.

Is there a cost? No! Being part of our community is completely free for all Nova Scotians who support our mission and values.

What can I do as a community member? After 30 days, you’ll have the right to vote at member meetings like our Annual General Meeting or any special meetings we hold. You’ll also be eligible to join our Board of Directors if you’re interested in helping guide our work.

For more information about what it means to be a community member, please see our By-Laws.
